Diary Entry 28:A Seizure-like State
Those who experience a seizure will lose all control over their body, where they will convulse and pass out. Other seizures will be less notable where the person will go blank only for a short period, losing their mind or bearings only for a moment.
In a similar way, many Christians are currently living in a seizure state, but one called- a spiritual seizure. This is where they have been seized by fears, doubts and dread.
Just as in the middle ages where the enemy would seize a castle by surrounding it so that the inhabitants would come to a complete stand still. They would literally be starved out! In a similar way, the enemy attempts to seize a Christian to a stand still through dread and fear.
Once the fear sets in and he comes to a halt, the guilt and shame of failure take over, rendering the person more helpless. BUT God is very clear in scripture that we are to find comfort in Him!
The amplified bible amplifies His heart…
Hebrews 13:
6. So, we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me?
This ties in with the scripture that says we ought to humble ourselves to the Lord, and resist the enemy, and he will flee from you.
James 4:
7. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
By saying, “The Lord is my Helper,” you are submitting to God. The when you say “I will not be seized with alarm, (or I will not fear or dread or be terrified),” you are resisting the enemy.

As you do this every time you have fear or doubts, you are in fact drawing close to God, and renewing your mind to His truth. God is faithful and He will exult you.
Spirit-filled believers can rest assure not to worry nor fret about their lives, but to be content with what they have. Matthew 6 says to us not to worry, for life is more than the body, so we should not to be like unbelievers who toil for clothes and food, but rather we are to seek His kingdom and righteousness.
Scripture says that those who seek to be rich are pierced with many pangs. They also show Martha worrying about much, and Jesus corrected her to choose the only necessary portion- that is to feed on The Word of God. Then we also see Esau who was overcome by his bodily care and need for food, which led him to giving up his birthright.
These examples reveal that seeking and living for the cares of the body lead us to lose sight of our inheritance in Christ, by conforming to the world and the carnal nature. The needs of our body will always take predominance and the goodness of God’s faithfulness becomes invisible to us.
Hebrews 13 5: Let your character or moral disposition be free from the love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]
Wow!
As we can see Jesus keeps reminding us to not worry nor fret but to seek His Kingdom, not because He wills for us to be poor and struggling, but rather that we will remain free from the carnal nature which so easily clings and leads us to lose all faith in the goodness of the Father.
He promises that he is a good Father. He promises that He is the good Shepherd, and so we can have confidence to be a living sacrifice as according to Romans 12. This faith is our proper worship to Him, since it is faith that pleases Him. Faith is not conforming to the ways of unbelievers, who are not led by the Spirit; these are led by the carnal nature, ever worrying about gain. We no longer live, but by the finished work of Christ, we are now led by The Spirit, our only Master.
To be led by one Master we have to resist any other.

No longer are we slaves to ‘seizures’ of fear, failure, lack, or dread, for the Lord is our helper, so I will not fear, but rest at His feet.
Hebrews 4
11. Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same example of disobedience [as those who died in the wilderness]. 12. For the word of God is living and active and full of power. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.
