The BEAUTY that is from above, which we see interwoven in every detail of creation.
Creation itself speaks to you of its Creator; He is a Creator of beauty: colour, pattern, creativity, design, detail, and not to mention love and P A T I E N C E…
So, you too were made for beauty, and to create beauty.
When you accept the Lord Jesus, you begin to see the beauty stretch deep into your soul, where you find out that you are truly loved. You begin to know that your identity and nature is Christ, and the things you are to do and create is beautiful, because they flow from Him, The Beautiful One.
You were put on earth to create a beautiful life that is full of light, memories, love, joy, art, colour, singing, music, dancing, laughter, and plenty of warm hugs, which light up your home and extend far out. “Let your light shine for all to see that your Father is good.”
Moms, this has been my challenge… while I have been so concerned with reading levels, math levels, and how they may compare to the school kid next door, God has been ushering us into the new- to embrace the beauty of homeschooling and being a present mother… all the things I miss because I am busy checking off the checklist, and now too tired for all things lovely.
It is as if He is nudging me away from the same old ‘routine,’ the trudging along, and He is begging me to be as a little child again… to get into the flow, unforced rhythms of play, dance, the ‘what ifs,’ the “I wonder why’s” and to create beauty unashamedly! Your home is a gift. Your children are a gift. These are too much of a blessing to be led by the fear of missing out on “worldly boxes.” Give no room for these boxes; instead let the light of God, His joy, peace, and love break through the walls that box you in. This free-space that you begin to step into will be the gift that you give to your kids. It will be for their benefit as they learn to walk in His innate creative flow, and they will thank you for it!
It has been a healing journey; to let the light shine through my limitations, the anxieties that have chased me, and to break through the walls, and begin to LIVE! The school system and adults, really- has destroyed our wonderment and child-like faith, placing us in cookie-cut compartments that we fear stepping out of. How I just want to live again, and break through… unstuck!
So, my first step was to ask a dear friend to pray with me, and writing this is my next step- with the hope that I am on my way to clarity and a renewed mind of all I am to do. For I know, we were meant to create beauty, and live in wonder and awe. Perhaps my next step is to take a wall in the house and just paint something. Then take a corner of the garden and plant a colourful array of plants and flowers, and just ENJOY it without this awful feeling that follows me- “You don’t know what you are doing; you can’t do this; you won’t be good at that…”
All the time I have been told, “You cannot do this or that…”, and out of being “submissive” all creativity has been stifled. But He says- its time to live again. Dream again. Imagine. Dance. Play! Get out into the sunshine, and do not look for who is watching!
It is like a whisper: “I am freeing you, my child. I have seen your tears and trembling, but today, no more. My love is after you- so let it catch up with you.
Become unstuck!
